LiveEPC

Greenspace Research, founded in July 2007, specializes in the development of building energy analysis software systems. The company owns a unique Web-based building energy performance certificate (EPC) technology called LiveEPC which is expected to be approved for use in the UK in early 2009.

LiveEPC is a rich Internet application with an expressive and detailed user interface for manipulation of building models. LiveEPC uses gbXML files generated with 3D CAD tools such as Autodesk Revit and Google SketchUp as the basis for energy simulation studies. The gbXML model is converted to an SBEM model and manipulated by the energy assessor to reflect the as designed or as built state of the building.
